What happened
Como 1907 have signed Italy forward Moise Kean from Fiorentina on an initial loan with an obligation to make the move permanent. The club describes him as an experienced forward who still has room to grow.
Kean scored 27 league goals across two seasons in Florence, including 19 in 2024/25. The club also lists 13 goals in 26 senior appearances for Italy. He made his Como debut from the bench in the 4–1 win at Genoa and assisted Assane Diao for the final goal.

This is not a depth signing dressed up as a headline. Kean arrives with a record that changes what opponents have to prepare for and what Como supporters can reasonably expect from the centre-forward position.

Cesc Fàbregas highlighted Kean’s physical strength, speed and ability to lead the attack. Those qualities can give Como a more direct answer when patient possession meets a compact defence. A run behind the back line, a duel won under pressure or a forward carrying the ball into open grass can create a different kind of match.
The important question is not whether Kean starts every game. It is whether Como can place enough movement and service around him. Nico Paz, Martin Baturina, Assane Diao and the wider attacking group should benefit from a forward who attracts centre-backs, but only if the distances between them stay useful rather than crowded.
His first contribution at Genoa was encouraging because it came as a creator. That should not be inflated into a conclusion after one substitute appearance, but it shows the signing can add more than a final touch. Como now have to protect that range instead of reducing him to a fixed target in the penalty area.
Bottom line
Kean gives Como a higher attacking ceiling and another way to hurt teams. The excitement is justified; the real work is turning a major name into a connected front line.
